    1. Is the MMTB Obligated to Give Our Group Whatever We Request?

    Not at all!

The Maniapoto Maori Trust Board Grants Committee makes the decision about how much money any particular individual and/or organization will receive.  While we do try to meet the needs of the applicants where possible, making an application does not guarantee either the level of funding that may be given or indeed that any funding at all will be given.

    7.     What If We Decide to Spend the Money On Something Other than What We Stated on the Application Form?

The applicant has a responsibility to spend the money on the purpose for which it was applied for. If that particular project is no longer going to happen you must contact the Maniapoto Maori Trust Board immediately to discuss the situation. The people who sign the application form are ultimately responsible for how the fund are spent, therefore, it is always wise to ensure this happens.
