Danielle Williams, of Maniapoto descent, was the successful recipient of the 2013-14 Sister Grace Scholarship ($5000). Raised in Te Kuiti, Danielle attended Te Kuiti High School, gaining valuable leadership skills through holding the position of Kaia for the high school kapa haka rōpū (group), being one of the high school house captains, as well as the student representative for Year 13.

Danielle began studying Primary School Teaching at the University of Waikato in order to extend her knowledge and ultimately have the ability to give back to her community through something she is really passionate about.

“I want to encourage children that their education is important and show them that it can be fun. I really enjoy learning and would love to share that with others” Danielle says.
