• High level EA support to CEO • Te Kūiti based • Full time role 

The Maniapoto Maori Trust Board (MMTB), established in 1988, is an Iwi organisation based in Te Kūiti.  Ngāti Maniapoto consists of over 45,000 tribal members, numerous Hapū and 50 marae/papakāinga (approx).  MMTB is the recognised Iwi Authority for Ngāti Maniapoto and corporate trustee of the Maniapoto Fisheries Trust.  MMTB has some exciting changes ahead of us as we continue on with our journey to a Post Settlement Governance Entity.

The Executive Assistant (EA) position will provide executive level support to the Chief Executive (CE).  The EA will be expected to liaise with key stakeholders, collate Board papers, prepare hui agendas and take minutes, draft correspondence, prepare presentations to agreed levels, manage diaries and the CE’s commitments and  provide a full range of secretarial support.

Key attributes sought include the proven delivery of high-quality executive support at a senior level, with good initiative, innovative thinking and well-developed organisational skills. A high degree of communication competence (written and verbal) , an ability to work well under pressure and multi-tasking are essential as is being proficient in the use of Microsoft applications.  Other key attributes sought will be a high level of professionalism, warm and friendly interpersonal skills, ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships and  the proven ability to meet deadlines.  Knowledge of committee meeting procedures would also be an advantage as would previous experience assisting senior team leaders with the completion of actions.  Prior experience working within a Maori organisation is highly desirable, as is a relevant tertiary qualification and knowledge of and/or fluency in written and spoken Te Reo Maori.

This position would suit someone experienced who thrives on challenge and responsibility with loads of initiative. You will be the natural ‘gluer’ of people and processes anticipating the CEO needs, skilled in MS Office, extremely well organised and enjoy providing a high level of support.  The role is based in Te Kūiti.
