Ariana Paul

Ko Tainui te waka, ko Hoturoa te tangata, ko Te Rohe Pōtae te whenua, ko Manga-o-Kewa te awa, ko Ngāti Maniapoto te iwi, ko Ngāti Rora te hapū ko Te Kūiti te Pā, ko te Tokanganui-a-noho te whare tupuna, ko Brian Jones tona matua tupuna.
Raised by her maternal grandparents in Waikato, Ariana’s passion has been to serve whānau Māori and communities across education, social services and health sectors.  Married to Tama Potaka (Ngāti Hauiti, Whanganui, Taranaki) they have 3 children, Tiaria, Te Awarua and Aorangi.
Ariana has worked for Māori organisations over the past 25 years in policy and audit, programme development, facilitation, educational delivery, iwi development and hauora. She also co-founded small businesses (Squiggle Ltd, Aka & Assoc Ltd) and a charitable trust (TriMāori).  She has led diverse teams over the years and more recently as a General Manager with an iwi organisation in Tāmaki Makaurau.
She was recently part of a team that transcribed and published two manuscripts, He Tuhi Mārei-kura the writing of her great-grandfather, Pei Te Hurinui Jones and Wiremu Hekipia (William Shakespeare).
Other achievements include: Recipient of Future Directors Programme, Certificate of Achievement – New Zealander of the Year Awards, Graduate of Global Women’s Breakthrough Leadership Programme, Winner of the NZ Innovation Council Māori Business Innovation Award, Waikato Local Hero Award, Winner of the Ngā Kupu Ora Aotearoa Awards (Massey University), Master in Business Administration (Curtin University, W. Australia), Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies (University of Waikato) and Postgraduate Certificate in Business (Curtin University, W. Australia)

Leesah Murray
(nee Stockman)

Ko Tainui te waka, ko Ngāti Rora, Ngāti Te Paemate me Ngāti Waiora ōna hapū, ko Te Kūiti Pā, Mōkau Kohunui me Maniaroa ōna marae, He uri tēnei nō Waikato-Maniapoto.  Ko Kuia Geneva Tangihaere rāua ko Daniel Hingarakau Stockman ōna tūpuna. Ko Peter rāua ko Diane Stockman ōna mātua.
Leesah is in her second term on Te Kūiti Pā as a Trustee and Co-Chair, a role that brings her home often.  Additional to this she also serves as a Trustee on Radio Maniapoto (MFM) and holds other directorships. Leesah is married to Lance Murray (Ngāti Kurī) and together they have 3 tamariki.

Leesah currently works as the General Manager People and Culture for Tainui Group Holdings, the commercial arm of Waikato-Tainui.  Prior to this, Leesah spent 15 years at Te Wānanga o Aotearoa, in a variety of roles from corporate services, to health and safety management and strategic development roles. This included three years as Executive Director – Quality & Corporate Services.
Leesah also holds a Bachelor of Environmental Management as well as a Master’s in Business Administration with Distinction and has completed Te Pīnakitanga ki te Reo Kairangi.

Wayne Panapa

Ngāti Maniapoto, Ngāti Ngawaero, Te Kopua.
Married with 3 girls Maioha, Roimata, Tuirina, Wayne is currently based in Te Muriwai, Turanga nui a kiwa living with his wife’s iwi Ngai Tamanuihiri.
Chartered accountant with 20 years’ experience, Wayne is presently working as a Chief Financial Officer and General Manager Corporate Services at Te Runanganui o Ngāti Porou.  He has also worked as a Divisional Finance Manager and Business Performance & Planning Analyst for WEL Networks and a Manager of Financial Planning and Performance Analysis for Te Wananga o Aotearoa.
