ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking to appoint an Establishment Director to lead this important work, and to work collaboratively with the Maniapoto Māori Trust Board and the newly established Te Nehenehenui Trust.
As the Establishment Director you will be charged with executing and refining the establishment plan. This will involve working with a large board of governors to prepare for the impacts on strategy, people, processes, investments and policies. The role will oversee the development of the group planning, strategy development and investment strategy while ensuring a robust risk framework and financial controls are implemented. You will ensure that the board are ready to embed new ways of working through effective and targeted engagement and communication initiatives.
Key to your success will be ensuring a smooth process from the old to the new, including developing project plans and documentation, monitoring project delivery and completion of necessary project level reporting.
You will come to the role with strong interpersonal, relationship management and communication skills. You are a proven people leader, project manager and able to work effectively with ambiguity and uncertainty. Commercial acumen, change management, and evidence-based decision making are your bread and butter, and you have worked in, or been connected to, a kaupapa Māori context. Experience in a PSGE and its establishment would be a significant advantage, as would whakapapa to Ngāti Maniapoto. Your values and ethics are exemplary and align to Ngāti Maniapoto principles.
